The responsibility to push for positive change. At UCLA (DGSOM), we believe that healthcare is a human right. We are educating the next generation of physicians, physician-scientists, and researchers with that belief in mind.
A diverse group of minority physicians and allies who aim to advance equitable health for all patients, champion diversity in medicine, sustain mentorship within the institutions of academia and healthcare, promote inclusion within the clinical learning environment, and transform our greater Los Angeles community.
The Bruin Scholars program aims to retain promising DGSOM residents and fellows and also support their development as successful junior faculty members by developing their academic interest and building leadership abilities.
Our mission - to promote a culture of inclusion and appreciation for diversity across multiple areas, including race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and gender in order to enhance patient care, teaching, and research within the Division of Pediatrics.
Since summer of 2020, the Anti-racism Roadmap (ARR) and DGSOM at UCLA has co-created a path toward racial justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Supporting medical students during religious observances is essential for fostering an inclusive, humane learning environment in which all trainees can thrive.
